What IS IT?
A Clarity Sync™ is a OneCity engagement designed to surface resistance before decisions are made and to verify alignment as work unfolds.
Clarity Syncs™ are not consulting sessions and not implementation work.
They are structured moments of clarity that help leaders decide what comes next with fewer blindspots.
When to use it
Use this 30-minute meeting when your day-to-day workflow feels off, heavier than it should, or harder to explain, and you need help articulating what kind of resistance you are actually dealing with before naming problems or solutions.
What it does
This session creates shared understanding of how resistance is being experienced across a project, portfolio, organization, or system, without turning it into action, blame, or premature problem-solving.
What you leave with
Comprehension: A clearer, shared understanding of what the pressure actually feels like and where it is showing up.
Orientation: A grounded sense of whether the resistance is project-level, organizational, or systemic in nature.
Language: A neutral way to describe what is happening so it can be discussed without escalation or defensiveness.
Engagement
Frequency: One time, as needed
Time Commitment: ~30 minutes total
(brief request form + live session; no required post-work)Cost: Free
Meeting Location
- Google Meet: Sessions are conducted via Google Meet. No downloads or accounts required.
Participation
- Who participates: Project leaders, business leaders, or community leaders seeking to talk through what pressure currently feels like, without needing a fully formed problem.
- Before: A short request form to describe what prompted the conversation. No preparation or documentation required.
- During: A facilitated conversation focused on surfacing how resistance is showing up across projects, teams, or programs. This is reflective, not diagnostic.
- After: Shared language and framing to help you articulate what you are experiencing and determine whether deeper diagnostic work is warranted.
Confidentiality
Clarity Syncs™ are a safe space for honest discussion.
What you share may be captured in a shared OneCity workspace to support follow-up and continuity, with access limited to your approved participants and OneCity.

What this is
These sessions are used after an initial introduction, when resistance is already known and needs to be revisited, tracked, or validated over time.
They are scheduled services, not ad hoc conversations.
They are used when work is active, decisions are pending, or coordination pressure increases as scale grows.
How this differs from the first Clarity Sync
The Exploratory Clarity Sync helps name what feels off.
Diagnostic and Ongoing Clarity Syncs help maintain clarity once work is underway or when the organization is operating at a higher level of complexity.
They are not introductions.
They are not one time by default.
They are designed to preserve decision integrity as systems, teams, or portfolios grow.
What they are used for
- Revisit known constraints as conditions change
- Maintain alignment as work progresses
- Support leaders who need clarity at specific moments, not just at the start
- Prevent decision avoidance, false urgency, and coordination drift
- Reduce delivery friction and operational lag as scale increases
Common examples
- Diagnostic Clarity Syncs
- Quarterly Clarity Syncs
- Escalation Clarity Syncs
- Scheduled Clarity Syncs (within an active engagement)

These are variations of the same service.
The difference is timing, frequency, and depth, not intent.
All are designed to support clarity as coordination demands increase at the current scale or during growth.
What this is
Some Clarity Syncs reveal that understanding alone is not enough.
When that happens, OneCity offers additional products and services that support coordination, decision integrity, and delivery infrastructure.
These are not Clarity Syncs
They are structured follow-on services used when clarity needs to be operationalized.
These may include:- Diagnostics and constraint reviews
- Coordination training and cohorts
- Portfolio and execution support
- Chartering and escalation services
Platform enabled coordination for clients, contractors, and internal teams
How to think about this
Clarity Syncs help leaders see clearly.
These services help organizations act without losing that clarity.
